Annie and Fia are ready to fight back.

The sisters have been manipulated and controlled by the Keane Foundation for years, trapped in a never ending battle for survival. Now they have found allies who can help them truly escape. After faking her own death, Annie has joined a group that is plotting to destroy the Foundation. And Fia is working with James Keane to bring his father down from the inside.

But Annie's visions of the future can't show her who to trust in the present. And though James is Fia's first love, Fia knows he's hiding something. The sisters can rely only on each other - but that may not be enough to save them.

The first thing I said in my review about Mind Games was " Mind Games is either cleverly executed, or a damn right crazy mess with the most ironic and appropriate title."
Reading Perfect Lies made my mind up for me. Cleverly executed.

Perfect Lies was so much better than Mind Games, I still kind of think we got nowhere, not until the end, but I don't care because I loved it.

Fia's character was more...deranged this time around, but it was done in a less annoying way and we really saw her character shine, she goes to the lowest point and she breaks through. She's a mess, for sure, there's no doubt about it, but she knows the differences now. She knows she's at that breaking point and something has to change. I really much preferred Fia's perspective because it felt more because it was never boring and it kept you on your toes.

Unlike Annie's, which was kind of boring and felt just like filler chapters really, there was no action going on until towards the end and was more focused of the development of her love interest.
I still wanted more from Fia's and Jame's relationship, but it did have more substance than the previous instalment, but there was still something missing to make it feel real.

My main issue with Mind Games was the thing about Fia and Annie supposedly doing anything and everything to protect eachother, but it was Fia who gave up everything, Sacrificed everything, gave Annie everything to keep her safe. It was one sided, while it was Annie's fault in the first place. Now, I still don't like her. Parts of Perfect Lies, I wanted to slap Annie, again. But, finally. Finally. We see the double side. I'm not saying Annie redeemed herself in any way, because honestly, it was the lease she could do because she destroyed her sister. They can believe it was Keane all they like but it wasn't. Annie didn't listen, she put Fia in the positions she was in. So, no, I don't think she did redeem herself, but she finally stopped being selfish and sacrificed herself for once. It's a start, I suppose.
I still had questions that were never answered, and I wanted more information on the why behind it all, but it was an exciting read all the same.

Mixed in with new and old characters, Perfect Lies was more than I expected it to be, it was fast paced, with an on-the-edge-of-your-seat ending that you won't see coming and I can't wait for the next instalment.
