Waiting on Wednesday (#29) AKA, Kirsty couldn't choose.

"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases.

So this is a first for me, I usually only do one, but I seriously could not choose between the two, because the one I can't wait for, and the second I'm terrified for.

I'll start with the one I'm terrified for, because if you've read #2 in the series, you know why.

VENGEANCE WILL BE HERS

Allison Sekemoto once struggled with the question: human or monster?

With the death of her love, Zeke, she has her answer.

MONSTER

Allie will embrace her cold vampire side to hunt down and end Sarren, the psychopathic vampire who murdered Zeke. But the trail is bloody and long, and Sarren has left many surprises for Allie and her companions—her creator, Kanin, and her blood brother, Jackal. The trail is leading straight to the one place they must protect at any cost—the last vampire-free zone on Earth, Eden. And Sarren has one final, brutal shock in store for Allie.

In a ruined world where no life is sacred and former allies can turn on you in one heartbeat, Allie will face her darkest days. And if she succeeds, triumph is short-lived in the face of surviving forever alone

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A thrilling retelling of the star-crossed tale of Romeo and Juliet, from the New York Times bestselling author of the Morganville Vampires series. In the Houses of Montague and Capulet, there is only one goal: power. The boys are born to fight and die for honor and—if they survive—marry for influence and money, not love. The girls are assets, to be spent wisely. Their wishes are of no import. Their fates are written on the day they are born.

Benvolio Montague, cousin to Romeo, knows all this. He expects to die for his cousin, for his house, but a spark of rebellion still lives inside him. At night, he is the Prince of Shadows, the greatest thief in Verona—and he risks all as he steals from House Capulet. In doing so, he sets eyes on convent-bound Rosaline, and a terrible curse begins that will claim the lives of many in Verona…And will rewrite all their fates, forever.

    1. I haven't read the Iron Fey ones, which I keep hearing about, so the first one I read of hers was The Immortal Rules, so good. I love anything Romeo & Juliet so, looking forward to see how that's done, too. :)
